I think sports are related to science because you measure how you are going to throw are aim. People also weigh the mass of the ball usually with your palm and measure how hard you have to throw it. You are using fore to throw the ball. You are also using motion throughout the entire game. Every object your using is matter. That's how sports are related to science.

ReplyDeleteI think that the sports picture is the one that I could relate to science because you can do experiments with a football or soccer ball or anything related to sports you test out winch ball well go further. but you can have to different things inside the ball like one has air and one helium. The way sports has something in common with science is because like when you run with the ball you could be using kennitic energy when you run with the football. Or you could say if the altitude well affected the ball from coming down so as you can see there are lots of reasons sports are related to science.
ReplyDeleteI think that the mp3 player has science because of the technology inside of the mp3. I would take cave man millions of years to create a mp3 that is in my own words. Also I think that the mp3 player has to do wth science because there were prototypes of them also it took I think about at least a couple good years to get it built. The mp3 has to do with science because the way it was built
ReplyDeleteGabe O,
Dear Mr. Andrews,
ReplyDeleteI picked the photo in the lower left hand corner. This photo is associated with science because food has artificial ingredients, which is created through experiments. Experiments are part of science because during the scientific method you are required to test your question/problem. Also, food is used in experiments like mold. Or use them for experiment on the effect on animals. Food is essential to the human body, studying food can help us see the effect on your body. This is what I thought about the picture to be associate with science and I hope you have a good evening.
From your student,
Randy C.
For this blog I will be talking about the picture that shows the paint that had all of the different colors. I thought that this one was really cool because it had to do with the mixture of ingredients inside of the paint that they make. Also it is very interesting how if you have two different colors and set them up so that they mix together it will make a very different color. Even if you were to mix two very strong colors they would still result in being very different. Although the very last thing that I wanted to say is that when there is a shade of one color new colors keep getting made, I bet that there is millions of colors us humans haven't even discovered yet. So in the end I think that there is so many cool things about colors and that is why I spent time on colors.
ReplyDeleteMy topic is the food pyramid. This has to do with science for a few reasons. As I recall, the ancient people of the world found a way to grow food, adding the plant, water, and sunshine. They creatively found techniques that farmers use today. Techniques like, levees, water wells, and dams. Farmers still use the ancients’ ideas today to easily water their crops. Ancient civilizations used the science of engineering to create devices to make farming easier. This how the food pyramid is included in science.

I think that all of the things are related to science but I will pick the iPods. The iPods are related to science because they are technology. Lots of scientists are studying technology, to see if it can think, how it’s made, how it works. There are a lot of people studying the science of technology. There are other ways that you can use technology in science. Like if one of the things you need for science is a machine, that uses technology. Sometime scientists use machines that are built from technology. As I said all the pictures are involved in science, and most of that uses technology!!! So I think that that’s cool.
The science behind the ipod is Inside the rocks from a mine that has or is rare earth minerals like wind turbines, hybrid cars, and night vision goggles. And minerals like neodymium are used in magnets that make speakers loud with sound . And what creates the bright screen is europium which is a phosphor that make the screen bright .. and it uses the periodic table to for the materials used to make a iPod.
ReplyDeleteScience is involved with ipods in how the ipod works. There is science going on inside the ipod in order for it to play music and do many other things. Inside the ipod, there are lots of little devices that might be useless on their own. But when they are all put together, they create an amazing devices capable of many things. Science is what makes those little devices turn into something greater. The ipod would not be possible without science.

Science is involved in the sports picture. I am going to focus more on golf. Scientist are constantly finding new ways to make the clubs lighter and be able to hit the ball farther and more accurate. It can take years to develop a single club. scientist are working hard on these clubs day in and day out. The face of the club matters a lot, it determines if you can hit the ball and make connection. It is not only about the club it is also a lot about the ball. scientist develop ways to make the core of the ball just right. Imagine how much work goes into a single ball. The weight the dynamics and the pure flight of the ball all determine weather it will be a good hole or not. Were not done yet even the glove matters. the fit for the player it being used by. we would not have half the stuff we have today if it weren't for scientist. Thank you scientist!!!!!

For this blog assignment, I chose the image that depicted the food pyramid. Each food item has been placed in different parts on the supposed “food pyramid,” and it took a scientist to do so (the field of science that studies classification and classifies is referred to as taxology). Also, this image shows food in general, which is a part of many different sciences throughout the vast field of sciences, one of those being cooking, or the culinary arts. Also, photosynthesis (which is most assuredly a part of science) is a key aspect because only through photosynthesis do we get any of the items that belong in these sections. When the plants are ready to reproduce, they develop, maybe, an orange, or an apple to spread them around. You see, the food pyramid has so many different forms of science within it, even more than I listed. -Hailey R Period 7
ReplyDeleteI am choosing the picture of the sports equipment. Science is involved with these items because say you go to hit a baseball with a bat. You hit it and it goes far. Then say you hit a football with a bat. It wont go far at all. The shape of the object (equipment) effects how far it goes. Each sport has many constants and variables. For example, golf. Lets say you want to see how far you can hit each club. The constants are the ball, how hard you swing at the ball, and where you end your swing. The variable is the distance, because that is what you are measuring. Those are some reasons why my picture involves science.
ReplyDeleteSavannah D.
I picked the iPod picture for a couple of reasons and i knew this has a lot of science involved. I think science is really important in making the iPod. If you don't involve science in making the iPod then you won't be able to have the iPod. All the wires, variables and how you create are all figured out by science. That is the majority of making the iPod. That is how I think that the people of Apple make the iPods, using science.
ReplyDeleteCason K.
The food pyramid is a very important thing to science. It Has the exact measurements for what is healthy for humans. This is very important to the human body. It is showing what kinds of foods should be eaten and in what quantities. The bigger portions take up more and oils and wheat's take up less. The food pyramid is a very important thing to science and the human body.
ReplyDeleteScience is always involved in every sport. Most of the science is involved with the aerodynamics or the durability of the equipment. For example the dimples on a golf ball are critical to the distance and the flight path of the ball. Scientists are also always changing the material in the inside of the ball to make the ball propel of the club even more. Another example is involved with the sport of football. The equipment has to have modern technology and durability to keep the players safe. Without the modern padding that they have today, almost every single player would be injured. Overall, without the modern science always improving sports equipment, players would not be safe, and would not be able to deliver the performance they want. Jack L.
ReplyDeleteI chose the sports picture for my blog because believe it or not science is involved in sports. To get maxim speed in a NHL slap shot science Has found out that the higher flex in your hockey stick and the faster you get your stick on the ground the harder the shot. Also throwing a NFL football has lots of science involved. To be accurate science has shown that if you throw and leave with one finger left you will almost always hit your target.
ReplyDeleteSean S
I choose the picture with the i pods. It takes a lot of science to build a machine. This machine is especially scientific because it downloads music. For the even more modern i pods they also have a digital screen. The screen can show from just words to TV shows. I chose i pods because they interest me with there steady increase of upgrading.
ReplyDeleteI picked music because octave and a frequency are parts of music in which scientist study. Music has come very far because of scientist. In order for music to be born scientist had created notes for music to become real. If scientist didn't come up with music the radio,i pod,and mp 3 players they would not be created. One of the creators of music is Beethoven he was basically a musical scientist. This is why music and science are related.
ReplyDeleteBasketball relates to science because there is a show called Sports Science. Sports sciences host is John Brenkus. They talk about verticals and reflexes and speed. If you can do sciences with sports you can do it with a lot. Sciences can help athletes to heal better by helping injuries. These are just some of the way sciences can help sports.
ReplyDeleteLennon J.
ReplyDeleteI chose the i-pods as my picture. One way science is involved with these is the sound. The stereos built into the i-pod create sound, creating music. Also, you have to use science to create all the inside wiring and computer chips and boards. Another thing is the motion on the screen is created using computer science. Finally, The little keypad on a i-pod has to use different panels so you can push the keypad different ways. This is my discussion about SOME of the science in i-pods. Thank you.
The picture I chose was the food pyramid. Science is related to this because food is basically science. Everything that is in that food item has some kind of substance or element which has to do with science. As we all know, substances and elements are scientific things. Because of this, food is associated with science. That is how I think the food pyramid has things to do with science.

ReplyDeleteI chose the picture of the Ipods. This picture involves science in several different ways, but the one that I will focus on is the science of engineering. To be able to upload a song onto an ipod, and then listen to that song whenever you want is often taken for granted. I have no idea how it works, but I do think that it is a really cool invention. Not only that but it also has a screen. When the song is uploaded, it also comes with other data. This data includes the song title, the album, and the artist. We can see all of these facts because of the screen on the Ipod, which is another thing that is taken for granted. So obviously, Ipods have to do with science in some ways.
I chose the picture of the Apple product, this requires science for many reasons.First it probably took some time to even get the product the way it is so they had to experiment on getting the correct information for the chip. Also they had to think about the outside and what it was going to look like. The people at Apple must of took a long to make the right data in the product so it worked just the way it does now.Lastly they had to make sure that everything worked so they probably tested the first one they made,of course I'm guessing that the first try wasn't a success, but that didn't stop them they keep going even with the struggle. Every scientist struggles once in a while. This picture has science in it because they had to test the product, persevere, and they have to experiment on the product.

For this blog, I chose the food pyramid. Food is involved into science in many ways. First, fruits and vegetables play a big part in this because they rely on photosynthesis to be able to grow. They get energy from the sun and food from water. Then, they grow! Breads and carbs come from wheat so this applies to them too. Dairy and meat comes from cows, and cows eat wheat. Therefore, this applies to them as well. Other meat comes from other animals so this also applies to them. As you can see, food plays a big part into science.

The picture I pick is the iPods. Science is involved in that item because you have to be good at knowing what pieces go with each other when you start making it. And you do that by science because you have to experiment things. And you learn by doing those things and putting things together. So that's why I think in that picture it involves science. And in a lot of other things it involves science.
ReplyDeleteIPods are involved with science because science is usually used by technology. So what science does is that Ipods have programs that people could listen to music or play games. Those programs could be useful and some are a waste of time. Science is important to us because we use it in our daily lives and sometimes it could be useful. Ipods are very famous nowadays. From the First generation to the 5th generation. As we go into the future things will be upgrading. Plus its really entertaining and really fun!

Paint is involved with science because a lot can be done with paint besides panting. I have seen a lot of science projects about paint. One project would be how does paint change over time on paper. Science is all about discovering things, paint has been discovered in history. When people think science they think chemicals, paint is made out of chemicals.
ReplyDeleteIn a experiment paint can be used as a (IV)or a (DV). Abby L.
Physical sciences are used to study the nature of foods, the cause of deterioration, the principles underlying food processing, and the improvement of foods for the consuming public. Scientists study development of new food products, design of processes to produce these foods, choice of packaging materials, shelf life studies, sensory evaluation of products using panels or potential consumers microbiological and chemical using. Scientist’s create pesticides to keep our food safe for humans. Scientist study vaccines in animals so they can stay healthy and produce more. Scientist is involved with food chemistry, food engineering, and food microbiology and food safety. Also science study’s the climate to figure out the best places to grow our fruits and vegetables.

The picture i chose is the one with all the ipod's next to each other, and they're melting. Science is all about chemicals, and they're reactions, right? so is it possible to melt ipods? If so, how? With what chemical equation? Are the inside of the ipods melting, or just the coating? Do you think the chemicals might change the color of the ipods? The science explains all of this.
ReplyDeleteI chose the food pyramid, because sometimes people really don’t think about food and science being related. Science is very important when it comes to food, if you want to go run 10 miles you don’t want to eat a bunch of chocolate before you run because you would not have a good run. Science and trial and error discovers small things like this relating to food that can help you in everyday situations. Science is also essential in the context of poisonous food. If scientists didn’t discover what was poisonous, a lot of people could get seriously injured. The food pyramid was basically founded off of science, now it helps us every day. Food is one of the most essential things in the world, without science to teach us more about it we could die.

In the first picture (sports) I think this could involve science because of our physical actions while doing those sports. This is related to science because in some sciences people learn how our muscles react to doing certain motions. I think this would include sport activity as well. For example, Physiology is a science that studies how organs and organisms function. This would relate to sports because of how we would move while playing the certain sport. To add, remembering how to play the sport would have to include muscle memory, and muscle memory relates to science. Thus, this is how sports be associated with science.

How science is involved in the balls are you have to know how they will react to different types of air like for example you have to know how it will react to helium or regular air.
ReplyDeleteKane A.
Science is all around us and all of those pictures could’ve been explained as science. The picture that I chose was the one with the different colored iPods. Science is involved with this picture because without science, our world would have no technological advances. This picture truly shows the power of science. The iPods were created by using the different science formulas and theories. Benjamin Franklin and Thomas Edison, scientists, are both people who discovered and got electricity to work. Without this electricity our iPhones, iPods, etc. would never have been made. Electricity is responsible for keeping iPods charged also. Science is constantly developing more and more technology to make our lives better and easier. Without science, our world wouldn’t be what it is today.

ReplyDeleteI chose the picture of the sports equipment. Sports are involved with science because everything that occurs relates to physics. People are interacting with the ball in whatever sport they are playing. Also, you could calculate the angle of throwing a ball, by certain masses of force. Sports are also involved with it because if you throw a ball in the air, the gravitational pull brings it back down to Earth. Plus, the force used affects the way the balls fly and stay up in the air.
I chose the picture with the food pyramid and in this paragraph will tell you how science is involved. In the food pyramid you can see bread at the very bottom of the pyramid bread takes science to bake because, to bake bread you need the right amount of yeast to make it rise and the right temperature to make it rise this would incorporate the IV and the DV because Yeast is the IV and rise level is the DV. Second, for all of the fruits they take a certain temperature and soil and you have to observe and experiment with temperature and amount of soil with trial and error included to find out how much you would need of both. Lastly for all of the dairy products it requires science because you need to experiment how much milk you need or cream you need to make it that consistincy that is ready to eat. Those are my three reasons on how science is incorporated in the food pyramid. -Cameron B.
ReplyDeleteI think that sports are involved in science because sports help your insides, and scientist study your body. Doing a sport is a big part of having a healthy body. Scientists study the differences between a healthy body and an unhealthy body. Science is involved in everything, sports, food, art, music etc.

ReplyDeleteThe first picture relates to Science the most in my opinion. This picture relates the most because it is a bunch of things splattered everywhere. And in Science, you're taking a bunch of things at a time to make a discovery. And in Science CLASS, we get a bunch of random things to experiment with. And in Science class, we make random things that is truly sometimes amazing. And the first picture has a bunch of sports material, like a ball. And, most balls are filled with helium. Another thing that relates to Science. Therefore, making the first picture related to Science the most.
The picture with music players is related to science. By the fact that if they are going to sit next to each other they need gravity. Gratvity is a big part of science because it is what holds us on the ground. If there was no gravity there would be objects flying every where around the earth .People would not be able to walk on the ground if there was no gravity. There is science behind how they are made as well. I not sure how they are but there will always be science behind how things are made.Samantha P
ReplyDeleteI think the ipoods are related to science for many reasons. It takes lots of science to construct an ipod. You have to put all the parts together, connect it to the internet and still make it pretty small. The picture is also related to science. The way each ipod is dripping, im sure took a lot of science. Music is very scientific!
ReplyDeleteLauren G
I chose the Ipods because science in inside them. Those things are......
ReplyDelete1)the way it is put together and what techniqe they used
2) what they used and how it makes the Ipod turn on and able to play music.
3) How it was able to play music and what kind of microchip they used to do that.
4) They ability to download things and use 'money' to buy them.
5)the science of how all the wires and microchips connet to each other and what could happen of the wires and microchips were put in the wrong place.
6) How Steave Jobs created soemthing by thinking abot Science and Math together making one of the biggest products ever!

I picked the picture with the sport balls. Science is involved with sports in many ways. For baseball, the players use physics to hit the ball and win. Since physics covers mass and motion, it also has its place in all sports. In basketball, they use physics to get the ball in to the basket to score. In football, the players use torque to go around the other team and run to get a touchdown. Physics is used almost everywhere, and sports is no exception.
ReplyDeleteDear Mr. Andrews,
ReplyDeleteI pick the picture of the iPod. I think that iPod's are involved with science because technology is part of science and this things are also invented by scientist. This things are part of our daily lives and have to do a bunch with science because they are technology and science always uses technology.

Science resembles the food pyramid in many different ways. First of all science can be used to find the calories in food. Or science can find the nutritional values in foods. Such as protein. It can also be used to find the carbs in foods. Science can find the amount of fat in the food to. So over all science is everything about food. From protein to calories and carbs to fat.
ReplyDeleteI picked the balls Because I kind of know how scientist use this items. Scientist use this items by testing out the new brand of balls. Like for example: Theirs a ball that you through and then in air it turns flat. Also I think they use the sport balls/items for testing out new stuff (goalies post, and more). Like for example they got a new training goalie post that moves around they (scientist) need a soccer ball to test it out. That's why I picked the sports balls.

Science is involved in the sports picture for many reasons. First, making the equipment is quite a bit of science. For example, when making the boxing gloves, scientists had to form the gloves so it would be comfortable yet safe for boxers. When making the tennis racket, scientists had to form the racket so it was legal to play tennis, however must have also been easy to use. After that, science is involved when playing the sport. Scientists had to figure out how to throw a football so it would not only get to another player but also be an accurate pass so it wouldn't be able to get intercepted. This may not sound like science but science is involved in everything. Science is the answer to any question. For example, if a child asked how to shoot a basketball, science is involved in that because if you answered that question saying you pat your head three times then say score, that would be incorrect. The correct answer is very complex so you can shoot the basketball just right. That is science because scientists had to figure out how to do that.~ Joe R
ReplyDeleteI chose picture #2 because colors are involved in science because without colors there will not be a color TV for us to watch movies in COLORS. You can create new colors by mixing the colors, making an EXPERIMENT. You can use the independent and dependent variables to help you to make a new color. You have an opportunity to make changes when you have an imagination when using colors.
ReplyDeleteSports are involved with science in many ways. Most sports involve kitting, hitting, or throwing something, which has a lot to do with physics. A good example of physics in sports is pitching a baseball. Using different techniques to throw the ball. Your grip on the baseball can result in different ways the baseball travels to the plate. Other ways to effect the ball's travel is to wet it. This gives the ball less backspin when it is thrown and it drops to the ground faster than a normal (and legal) pitch. Pitchers have also been known to scuff the baseball. This can allow it to swerve to one direction and is also illegal. This is a way that science effects sports.
ReplyDeleteKami T
I choose the food Pyramid. The food Pyramid is used to tell you what you need and how much of it you need. This is related to science because it was science that made the food Pyramid. Even though no one ever uses it. It is still something to try and follow. If science hadn't helped make the Pyramid and someone that had a sweet tooth did, then it would mostly tell you that you needed more sugar than you really needed. If we just guessed on how much grains you needed then you mite not get Enough or to much. Responded By Wesley J.
ReplyDeleteI think that in the sports picture, it consists of a lot of science. Science in sports is about the trajectory of the object. Also how the sport works mentally or physically. Science also includes of many injuries. Injuries are part of the sport even if you like it or not. People study the brain, body, heart, and how the body works. Sports consists of many sciences. Michael A
ReplyDeleteI chose the fourth picture of the colorful IPods. Science was involved in the making of an IPod because connecting the wires to make it work is scientific. You have to use physics. You have to connect a certain wire to another in order to make the IPod play music. Also, you have to use a certain chip in order to display the album picture on the screen. If you connect the wrong wires, then the screen might not even work. Finally, you have to create a certain battery that when it's plugged into an electric source, it charges the battery. This is all parts of physics because you have to figure out the exact kind of electricity to make everything work.
ReplyDeleteSophie G.
There is a lot of science when it comes to sports. In gymnastics it takes momentum to flip yourself over so you don’t fall on your face or lose your balance when try to land. Gravity has a role too. When a gymnast does a flip, if they do not get high enough then gravity will pull them down and they will land on their head. Lastly, your body science affects how you perform in gymnastics. If you are smaller it is easier to do things like flips because you have less mass to rotate. To conclude, there is science in all sports but gymnastics is a good example.
ReplyDeleteCaroline B.
In sports science is involved at almost all times. In sports including a ball such as, baseball, basketball, football, and softball, gravity is involved. The ball will always be propelled into the air and come right back down. Basic physics. Science is also put into the equipment of the sport(s). One sport is boxing. They use high tech equipment that will not only help them knock their opponent out but protect them. So science is used in our most everyday lives.

ReplyDeleteScience is all around us! Especially is sports! When you drive that soccer ball into the goal, you're applying force that jostles the ball in a specific way that allows that ball to swim through a sea of billions of molecules and more. Lets start with your bodies. Our muscles contract and push, working together just to move you. Think its simple? Well its not. There are over 600 muscles in your whole body. Your muscles are used for everything. Muscles pump your blood and they even have you blink. And not to mention the aerodynamics put into that “simple” task of kicking a soccer ball. The ball is a sphere because it moves easily in both air and on the ground. I mean, just imagine having to kick a cube instead of a soccer ball, I know CRAZY! But this is only a small portion of why science is everywhere.
-Natalie W.
I choose the first picture with a bunch of sports equipment in it. I choose it because I figured that sports had a lot of science in it. Like how it uses science to play and make sports equipment. Like I beat they have certain ingredince for making basketball rubber or golf club metal. I also think its in the game like how its played for example in basket ball you have to use trajectory to make a shoot. Another example is if you playing golf you have to take an educated guess on how far the hole is. That's why I think sports involves a lot of science.
ReplyDeleteI am going to write about the Food Pyramid. Science is involved with the food pyramid because it arranges foods in a subdivision and also displays the recommended amount that people should eat from each category on a daily basis. This is related to science because food is what allows our body to grow, gives us energy, and keeps us healthy. The foods displayed in the food pyramid are healthy and remind people that it is important to eat health food instead of unhealthy food. Making poor food choices can result in a person being overweight, which can cause a lot of health problems. An unhealthy person would most likely need to see a medical doctor and the medical field is just one type of science. -Alex L 3rd Period
ReplyDeleteI chose the picture with the sports equipment in it. This picture has to do with science because we have to know what materials make a good tennis racket. What materials to make the string of a tennis racket out of to make the hollow ball go far. We always want to find out what substance is better for making equipment. What makes a good frame of a tennis racket to make it lighter so it is easier to swing, titanium. To make the football have more grip for throwing, put lace on it. Every time we make something better it is going to be a trial and error experiment. But when we make something better than the original or better than the latest one, it is a success. Science is about making stuff better and safer, how can I make this football helmet more cushioned and more protective, but at the same time lightweight so the neck isn't holding up a lot of weight.

Hi i am Mp. I picked the triangle. This is a area of science because it has the food change. Like, goes from hard foods to soft foods. And it also has a triangle, I'm not sure how but I am pretty sure it is part of science. And that is my blog.
ReplyDeleteWhat I can describe easily relates to science are the balls. For example, the basketball has to do with science because it bounces. For the basketball to bounce a lot of things have to be made for it to be built. Then the reason it bounces is science. Rubber filled with air bounces because... Then there would be a scientific explanation! The same thing with why a soccer ball is also built with rubber and air, but it wont bounce and it is easy to kick, but a basketball isn't! There is a huge scientific reason for basketballs, soccer balls, tennis balls, boxing gloves and more!
ReplyDeleteThe different color I-pods that look like they are "melting" has to do with science because when I saw this, it reminded me of a science experiment I did when I was younger. In the experiment, you glue all different color crayons to a piece of paper. Then you hold a hair dryer above the crayons. The heat from the hair dryer causes the wax in the crayons to melt. When the do. they melt together and it looks really cool. That is how the"melting" I-pods have to do with science.

Science is involved with Ipods for several reasons like the atoms of the Ipod itself. Also the technology in the ipod such as the gigabytes and the energy it consist of. The ipod turns on and off and does what you want all because of science. Just the existence of the ipod is science because all the molecules in the ipod. The ipod sends a signal to the speakers which creates radio waves. That is how you listen to music. This is a few of many reasons why science is involved with ipods.

Science is involved with food. This is because the food you eat gets digested and creates fuel for your body. The particular system that food relates to is the digestive system. Also, some food that you eat comes from the ground like vegetables or fruit. This relates to science because to grow this food, photosyntheses is needed and photosyntheses is very much related to science. Therefore, food is very related to science.

I picked the picture of the different colored I pods with that color dripping down. I picked this picture because when I'm listening to music it helps me just forget everything I'm thinking about and I can just get lost in time and I usually like to listen to music when I'm emotional or stressed. This picture relates to science in many ways including technology, human nerves, and the process it goes through to be made (which has to do with machinery which is related to science. To begin with, I pods have lots to do with science because of technology; for instance to function properly they have to be charged and if they have to be charged that means that they are running off a battery of some sort. Everything that has a battery and a screen is a big factor with technology such as an I pod, a computer, an i pad, a cell phone, and a tablet of some sort. Next, I mentioned it has to do with science because of the human nerves, this might sound a little weird but there is some reasoning behind it. The reason I think that an I pod would have to do with science through the human body and its nerves is because when you listen to music your emotions can change and make you feel sad or make you feel happy or excited or make you feel pumped up. All these emotions happen because of the brains nerves and how they react to different types of music or different reasons. It's funny because when we are happy we tend to listen to the beat of the music and get pumped up when on the other hand when we are sad we usually listen to the words of a song and think about what they mean. The brain sending messages to the body and intercepting messages based on what you are listing to is related to science and that is why I say the human body is related to an I pod. This is why I think that the picture of I pods with the color of the I pod dripping down relates to science.

I chose the photo of the sports equipment. The creation of the equipment itself involves science. They had to use the scientific method. 1.Problem written as a question. 2.Research. 3.Hypothesis 4.Materials 5.Procedure 6.Experiment 7.Data 8.Conclusion. For example the first generstion of a soccer ball was just animal bladders wrapped in leather. This design made it very hard to play soccer because it was very heavy and when it rained it would get soaked with water. For the first step of the scientific method an example of a problem written as a question they could ask How can we make a soccer ball that is lightweight and waterproof? Next they would have to research ways they can do this. Now they have to come up with a hypothesis that would predict what material they should use. They need to gather those materials that they have found and then create a procedure to test the hypothesis they have come up with. Now they need to follow the procedure and experiment if there hypothesis was correct. They need to list the data they have come up with from the experiment. Last step is to write down if there hypothesis was confirmed or refuted based on the data. ~Renzo F
ReplyDeleteHow science is involved with sports is you need to know how they will react to different airs like for example you need to know how regular air will affect how high they bounce on different structures.

Almost any item in the universe can relate to science in many ways because science is the knowledge of things. In this food pyramid, science is ingrained into it in many places. One way that science is a part of this picture is there is a science of how food and nutrition help our bodies grow. Another way that this relates to science is the basic chemical make up of all things in the picture. Everything in the picture is made up of atoms and molecules. The difference in each item is how the molecules and atoms are structured. There is even a science in making bread. You have to create the right mixtures and put the right materials together to get the product that you want. Even the computer that is projecting the image is science. Science was necessary for the functioning of the computer because people had to create it the right way. People have tweaked the machine for a couple of decades after doing many tests, to come up with a machine that works well for people. Science is all around us and it is also everywhere we look. The science in the picture can be found anywhere.

I chose to write about the iPods. I think this is related to science because they are modern technology. I am not sure exactly how an iPod works. I do know that it takes lots of programming and knowledge to make an iPod work. An ipod is mostly made up of two parts, a hard drive, and a database. The ipod is a complex and highly advanced piece of technology, i think apple has this down to a "science." Jahsun L
ReplyDeleteThe picture that I choose was the mp3 player. Science is involved with the mp3 player because it has lots of Experimental procedures, Like step by step. They also have to observe the mp3 player and see what it is going to be like from the inside and how it is going to work. finally thats my opinion about how science is involved with an mp3 player.

Science is involved with the first picture (the one with the sports gear)because in order to do all of those sports there needs to be science involved. First of all when playing a sport you usually burn calories, you burn calories because of science. When you sweat it's because it's something in your body that does it and that is science. Also when playing a sport if the sport requires hitting something the object you just hit moves in s specific way because of the way you hit it or it's shape, that is also science.Even when you hit the ball your mind sends just the right signals for your hand/foot to hit it that way. That shows how there is science in sports. Science is all around us.
ReplyDeleteI picked the food pyramid and this is related to science because it show the food we eat, and food powers our bodies and the human body is a type of science called biology. Also, it also show the food chain as in the fish for example ate plants for food, then the fish becomes food for another to gain energy. This resembles the food pyramid which show the amount of energy and how much the food helps the body. That concludes my blog post.
ReplyDeleteSports have so much to do with science. Tactics, angles, strategies, strength, etc. are all involved. One swing of a bat, one shot at the basket, or one kick to the goal; can win or loose a game. Math, (being apart of science) can help. Finding an ANGLE, or a DIAMIMETER, can always be a clue to where the sports' item will go. Science and math can make anything possible; even in sports.

The picture that I wanted to talk about was top left picture that had sports equipment in it. I think science can be related to these icons because when a sport evolves the tools or supplies are changed to become more efficient. Like when a ball is changed scientists usually change it to become more aerodynamic through the air. Some people who are trying to make a contact sport safer might try to make a helmet or type of padding with more cushioning. When I was golfing with my dad he said golfers used to use wood for their clubs. But now todays golfers use innovated tools for their performances.

In the pallet one Science is involved by making align strokes in the paint. By doing it the right size and the shape of the mark.It also science because There science in making the paint. To make the paint you need the right Thickness. We need it the right texture. Also selling to different stores.Abby M
ReplyDeleteThe sports picture is my favorite. It is related to science because you are sweating and your heart rate rises. You feel tired when you run. Injuries can happen which hurts the body. All of this is affecting your body. How your body works is biology.
ReplyDeleteAlexis G.
I picked the ipods because it has something to do with science and technology. It can have music, pictures, videos, games, applications, and internet. You have to connect it to a computer and put games music and anything you want on it. Also you need to charge it. It uses electricity and energy. Also it has paint on them. Some have black buttons or some have white buttons. There are some that are old and some that are new. The new ipods have a touch screen. This is related to science because ipods use electricity and technology to work. It also has wifi to go on the internet.

I would choose the first picture. The reason i would choose the first is because i like sports more than art, the food pyramid and listening to music. The reason that I like it more is because I used to play on a baseball team and I play football a lot with my friends. I also played on a soccer team ad I play tennis with my mom sometimes. I also go play basketball with my friends and my dad at my apartment complex. The reason I didn't choose art was because your not active during it. The reason i didn't choose food is because I don't need to eat while I am playing sports. The reason I didn't choose music is because I only have a few hundred songs on my ITunes.
ReplyDeleteNaia M
Food is involved with science for a few reasons. The first is because scientists test it to see if it has any diseases. Also, they check it to see if there is any bacteria in the food. Scientists also check it if it's old or has been changed for someone to drug you. Food is good but it's not always safe. Don't eat it if it's not the right color or looks bad.
ReplyDeleteWhat the picture with all the balls represent to me in science is, the science of fitness. What they have to do with science is scientist have to figure out how they bounce or how people throw them. Also how each ball was made and why they were made. Also it relates to science cause when your running your hearts rate starts going up and and blood starts flowing. Also injurys can happen and in science the human body is a big part!
ReplyDeleteThe pic I want to talk about is the Ipod. I think the ipod is similar to science because scientist had to create it so it’s really related to science so thats why I think it is science. It has a lot of technology in it and that is science. The color of the iPod is science because it’s a mix of different colors and chemicals. Scientists developed machines that created the parts to the iPod.
ReplyDeleteScience is involved in all of the sporting equipment that we use in our sporting events. It is involved in tennis rackets because by looking at the angle the racket hits the ball and the force with which it was hit it can tell the trajectory the ball will travel. Science can tell us a where a volleyball will land on the court by looking at the angle of which the ball was passed. With a golf club science is involved because the force you use to swing the golf club at plus the angle you are at projects the ball further and into the hole. Science is also involved in basketballs because depending on the basketball and how you’re dribbling it determines where and how high the ball will bounce back up again. Lastly science is involved in soccer balls because the way that they were made they are meant for kicking and have a different feel than another ball because a soccer ball is made for kicking with different forces depending on the kick. This is how science is involved in sporting equipment. ~Ava K.
ReplyDeleteI think that sports are related to science. I think this because almost everything in sports can be measured, and or tested. I also think that you can test ways to become better. These are some of the reasons why I think that sports are related to science. Another reason i think sports are related to sciences is that gravity, physics, and aerodynamics can all be measured in sports.
ReplyDeleteTo me the picture that has all the sports equipment in it is the one that relates to science the most to me. This one relates to science most to me because i am a soccer player and soccer really relates to science to me. This picture relates to science to me because in soccer you have to try new things to get different results and in science you do that to. For example : Scientist have to try new things and get different results to be able to find cures or invent different things.
ReplyDeleteAlso in science you have to always keep trying and never give up. And in soccer you will always take shots but you won’t always make them in.
Lizzy Hernandez
Science is involved with sports when injuries happen. It is also involved when how fast people can run. Also involved to find out if players are taking drugs. Science is involved finding the best equipment for players to not get hurt. Finally science is involved with sports to find out the impact of hits.

ReplyDeleteScience is used in many things in our daily life. In the picture of the iPods there is a lot of science used. The science used in the iPods is technology science. The creator has to work with electricity and wiring to make the technology work. If the technology doesn’t work you keep trying. That is the beauty of science. Another use of science in this picture is the making of the picture. Someone had to go on the computer and make the effect of the pain dropping of the technology. Science is used daily in almost everyone's life and will continue for the rest of their lives.
On the Ipods of a different colors it took science to create the ipod to figure out how to make them play music how to design them. It also took science to create better ways to make it useable for different people. Maggie C
ReplyDeleteSports equipment has a lot of science involved in it. A piece of sports equipment that I think is very science oriented is a football. It is shaped a certain way so it will spiral through the air. I also think that golf clubs have a lot of science put into how it is made. Take the driver, for example. The head of the club it large, and the face of its head has a slight slant to it. It has this slant because it helps pitch the ball up and far. To sum it up, this is why I think sports equipment has lots of science. ~Avery R.
ReplyDeleteI chose the ipod picture
ReplyDeleteThe science in that picture is that ipods take science they are science. Without science they would not exist. The many layers of the screen to make the words and pictures show up. The batteries trapping the electrons and creating power. The ipod is amazing and has so many features like ability to snap a photo of things and save it. The ipod can play music with nothing but memory and a speaker. The components and technology of an ipod is almost infinite.
I phones are involved with science! How do you think they were invested? Science invented them. Science is technology, so I phones are science because they are related to Computers, Tablets, and Everything Else Technical! Thats why I phones are technology. -Ashlyn M
ReplyDeleteScience is involved with food in many ways. Its exciting too see how science has improved the way they grow food such as corn. Science has helped food grow in all different environments. The antioxidants in our berries make our heart healthy. Farmers still use ways to water crops and plant crops. There are also ways how they found out the calories and protein in meals.Gatorade and energy drinks are said to give you energy and help you perform better. This is scientific because of the chemicals put in too make you better. In conclusion, there are many ways the science is involved with food.
ReplyDeletei think art is an important part in science because if you're making an inference you got to draw it and write it. also in science there is a lot of experiments with art in them for example if you're researching who made a sculpture or how science is involved in that. thats why i think art is a big part of science. i think food is important in science because if your making an inference on how slippery a bannana peel can be thats science and food. also food is important because you can do lots of experiments with food and thats why food is important in science.

The picture I chose to talk about is the art pallet with the paint brushes. How I think it involves science is that the paint involves chemicals. The paint needs the chemicals to get their bright and vibrant colors. And the paint brushes involve science as well. How they involve science is the hair on the tip is connected to the paint brush by glue. And the glue has a bunch of different chemicals to make it sticky. Also the wood for the pallet is part of science because the put chemicals on it to preserve it.

ReplyDeleteScience is used in iPods in many ways. One way that science is related to iPods is that it was invented. Inventing has to do with science because if you invent something, you are trying experiments to see how to make something and how it works. Another reason why science is related to iPods is that they are a kind of technology that requires a lot thinking and hard work to making them. They are also full of a lot of complicated technology that scientists can understand, but would be just a bunch of colorful wires to someone else. In all, iPods are related to science in many ways and these are just a few.

Science is an important thing. It is all around us, even in sports! Sports involves a lot of aim and how you throw or kick. The way that sports has aiming in it is how you hit the ball, throw the ball, or do anything else sporty with the ball. Or puck, or birdie or whatever. So if you don't aim, the ball could go flying into your mom who is watching the game. Aim, I think, involves physics. Like, how the energy in the air affects how you throw the ball. That is how sports is involved in science!

I picked the picture with the MP3 because it involves tehnology. Technology is involved in science because its used very much. For example if you are searching up a word in science u would have to use technology. Also MP3s are used by science because they are created by science. I think most things are created by science . Arely Sanchez
ReplyDeleteI think paint is related to science because colour itself is a science. Paint is made by different things mashed together too create that specific colour. Paint is a compound of chemicals and can be used to depict items or other associated Items on a piece of canvas or anything you please. Paint can be used in experiments by testing what happens to the material the paint is on after time. The science behind your eyes also relates too this topic because the reflection of light allows you too see colours and paint is a way of showing colour in a picture. This is how science is involved in paint and colours.

I choose the pictures of the iPod for my explanation on why it is related to science. To start of technology is a science itself, the iPod wouldn't work with out scientists making formulas to have it work properly. Also another part of the Ipods is the color. Scientists made many formula to figure out what color and how to put it on the Ipod. That is why I believe the Ipods have science.

I picked the sports sport picture, all of those things have some sort of science in it. The type of ball all has some science in there, like a footballs shape is meant to be like that because it goes the farthest. Also a baseball and tennis ball are made of a specific material that also makes it slide or bounce on the surface. Another thing is the bat or racket of any type again has a again science in their some wear. The tennis, badminton, and others are wired so that it can hit the ball the farthest. Another thing is that the bats like baseball have a special material, wood or metal. Thats why I picked the sports picture, and how there is science in the picture.

The picture i chose was the food pyramid because science is involved in many ways.
ReplyDeleteThe fist way science is involved with this picture is the plant (vegetables). The veggies and fruit are a type of plant and plants take photosynthesis to grow. Next thing of science involved in this is the Meat (animals) the animals have a hole bunch of special systems in their body such as the circulatory system ext. Also the animals eat the grass and fruit and veggies which use the photosynthesis. This is how science is involved with this food pyramid picture. Thanks Mr. Andrews Gwen Barnes
I’ve chosen the picture with all the ipods next to each other and they’re melting. I think this relates to science because, is it possible to melt ipods? i’m sure the chemicals in the coloring can melt it but it might smell or explode or something. Doesn’t it have to include a chemical equation? Sometimes it doesn’t, it depends on how you do it, right?? Well i think it always does. But what do I know? I’m just a puny 7th grader.
ReplyDeleteThe picture that has the sport equipment are involved in science. The sports equipment are involved in science because scientist use these as a experiment on which ball is better to play with. They experiment on which ball goes high, fast, how for each ball goes. When the scientist are doing this experiment they have to measure the distance and how much preasure they are throwing each ball. Also they have to be in the area where there is the amount same of air. That is why I think the picture that has the sport equipment is involved in science.
ReplyDeleteI picked the picture with the paintbrush and the different colors of paint. This picture has to deal with science because there are all different colors on the thing. Also all of the paint colors are mixing to together. This is called mixtures. Once you mix two different colors of paint you can get a all new different color. Also, Independent variables and Dependent variables also have to deal with this picture. The Iv would be all of the different colors you use. The Dv would be what colors you get after you mix them. That is how that picture has to deal with science.
ReplyDeleteI pick the ipod because i like to listen to music i like to use technology a lot. I ipod is relate to sciences be because is technology and sciences work with technology.
ReplyDeletei pick the ipod because i like to listen to music and i like using technology a lot lot.its related to science because they study the technology.
ReplyDeleteI chose the picture with all the sports gear in them because sports are part of science. You can test how the body works. I saw a show about a soccer story and there where scientist who where studying on how people kick the ball. They where also seeing why the ball did a curve and made a goal. I thought it was actually pretty cool how it depends on how you kick the ball, so that the ball does that turn. Sports are part of science because we can study and do experiments on them.
ReplyDeleteI have chosen the paint palette. This item is very scientific. You just have to find it. For instance, The atomic makeup of this could make it oil paint, which is slow drying. It could be acrylic, which is pretty fast drying. You also have to think about how they put the color in. They have to find ingredients that will mix in with the ingredients to make the majority of it, but still reflect that one specific type of light. Think about how other paints mix with others and why. Everything can be scientific in a way. You just have to find it. ~Dylan B.C.
ReplyDeleteThe picture I chose was the picture of the pyramid with the food on it. I think this picture is related to science because you have to have the science to place the certain food into the pyramid. This is also related to science because health and what you eat can be science because you have to have all the liquids and solids that involve with it and I know that liquids and solids are a part of science because I studied it last year. The reason I chose this picture was because it was easy to tell the science behind it but I was seeing if I can make new scientific methods about this picture!!!!!
ReplyDeleteI think that science is involved with sports because of all the things you do to be good at the sport. I also think this because maybe not just playing the sport has science maybe the actual sport has science to do wit it it self. The reason i think that playing a sport has science is because of the way you have to move and. Another reason is because some sports you have to have very fast reflexes and the way you are able to have these fast reflexes is your brain has to tell you body to do this. Another reason is that in Denver (The mile high city) you will be able to hit a base ball higher and further because of the altitude and in other states you wont be able to because the air is thicker because there is less altitude.
ReplyDeleteI think sports are related to science because, first of all, everything is made of atoms. There is also a lot of aim and strength involved in playing a sport. There are certain body parts that are stronger in different athletes depending on the sport they play. In order to play the sport you have to be smart and have good enough brain capabilities to understand the game. Athletes are also kind of like scientists because they have to study what they're doing to get better. These are all examples of how sports and science are related.
ReplyDeleteI think the food chart is the most important .
ReplyDeleteit is important because you need to know how much you eat of it or drink of it .
The food chart is science because it is going into your body every single day in your life.
Why I think this because I know that every should try to be healthy their whole life time.
I also think this is important because it determines how long you live.
The sports picture has science involved with it for multiple ways. Angles have to be found, diameters have to be measured. Sports are always finding ways and debating (hypothesis) will work.
ReplyDeleteHi Mr. Andrews I think is the sports because when you play a sport like soccer your body reacts to it because you can't breathe because you've been playing a lot and all the sports you play make you sweat. Sincerely Alexis Gonzalez (:
