Follow the directions on "how to blog" and the "rules for blogging" on the right to answer this prompt:

Dinosaurs roamed the Earth for about 150 to 250 million years.  They were the dominant life form on the planet.  Today there are no dinosaurs.   Humans have been around for about 1.5 million years.   We are considered the dominant life form on the planet.

Do you think humans are the "most fit" to survive on planet Earth?   Why or why not?

  1. Gabe O- I think that we are the fittest specie to be dominant because we have thumbs so we can pick things up. We have good brains so we can keep coming up with ideas on how to survive. We can make weapons. We can also invent things like the blanket for warmth. With the dinosaurs Could not do anything of this sort. Dinosaurs brains are to small to think about this. The could not pick things up even. That is why I think humans are the fittest to survive on the earth.

  2. In my opinion I think we are the "most fit" to survive on planet Earth. Reason being is that we have many great skills and tools to survive. For example some people have out going personalities who like to go out and take risks and explore new things. And some have more athletic personalities. But no matter what personalities people have in some way they help us survive on this Earth. Our ancestors have proven that they have been the "most fit" if they have made it this far.

I think that humans are most fit for earth even though some people are disabled and can not pass on their bad genes. Humans are most fit because we have lived on this earth for 1.5 million years so we have evolved and will continue to, as our earth changes with us. Over the 1.5 million years of adapting, and we are still here that means we can keep adapting as our earth changes on us. I also think humans are most fit because we are the smartest in our own way with how we think. We have changed over the years meaning we can keep doing it and we will get smarter and have more features as we go. One more reason is because we can reproduce and give good genes to the new generation which will then pass those good genes on and so on.

  4. I do think that humans are the most fit species on Earth. This is because even though dinosaurs have lived longer, we still have more of our time on Earth. We don’t know how long that will be, but we do know that it will be a very long time. If the dinosaurs were most fit, they would still be alive today, instead, they evolved into a more fit form over billions of years. Humans. As humans, we thrive in our natural surroundings. Without the capability to do that, we would not be alive today or as healthy as we are. Dinosaurs obviously could not thrive any longer than they did, so they had to change in order to do so.

  5. In my opinion, humans are the most fit to survive on the planet. People are constantly developing techniques and tools to help with survival. We also are able to survive the most extreme places of the planet (with help from some tools). Dinosaurs were on Earth for a very long time, but now they are gone. The human species could still outlive the dinosaurs. With technology to help us, we can survive for an extremely long time. New ways to find and grow food could also help the humans survive. Overall, humans are the most fit to survive because they have developed new technology for survival. -Chloe H.

  6. I think there is a chance that humans are going to survive. because there is going to be more food.Back when there was dinosaurs there wasn't even they got food of dinosaur. Caveman got their food by hunting dinosaurs.

  7. In this question I think that in some ways humans are in fact the ones that are most it to survive this because the humans on this earth are one of the strongest of life beings meaning that we have one of the best ones to be fit to survive in the wild. This also leads to that the fact that we have great personalities that is because when you do things like get hurt or get in trouble human beings can communicate with each others to gets help to each other. Also we are able to bled in and get really fast if running for something or doing something to survive. Lastly I think that human beings are able to have the intelligence that is needed to survive. So in the end I think that humans are some of the most fit to live.

  8. I think that humans are not the “most fit” to survive this planet because, most of what humans use is from the computer or from animals and plants that they depend on. If something hit earth making all the things that humans depend on then we will have nothing, like food then some of us will go starving and die of starvation or eat each other making our population go down. Another reason humans are not “most fit” to survive is because, if we get cut of anything then we only have a certain amount of blood in our body until we run out. If we lose at least a “little” then we will be weak and can’t help ourselves or others survive. Another reason that we are not the “most fit” to survive this planet is because, about 70-90 percent of humans are weak. Weak humans can’t really do anything because if only 10% of us are working against a really dangerous thing then about 5% of that 10% will die because there wasn't enough strong humans that can face the challenge making all the strong competitors go.

  9. I do think that humans are "most fit" to survive on earth. In the relatively "short" time we have been on earth we have made some huge advancements over what dinosaurs did in their time. We have also evolved much quicker than they did. Not only that, but as far as we know, the dinosaurs couldn't communicate as much humans can. And as far as we know dinosaurs were not capable of creating super computers, or even iPads for that matter. The adaptations we have gotten help us to be the most "fit" for the planet we live on today. So yes, I think humans are the most fit to survive on planet earth.

  10. I think that humans are the most fit of all the organisms alive right now. But new organisms could be made later on as years go by that might be even more fit. What if in 5 million years a new organism is made that has binocular vision and even more important characteristics that will help it survive. Dinosaurs were extinct and they were the most fit, and right now humans are considered the most fit. So humans might be extinct too. I don't think that humans can't get extinct because the process of evolution doesn't stop, so that means that there might be a more fit organism in the future. Also with better characteristics than the ones humans have right now. The last reason is because people keep cutting down trees and we need trees to survive for oxygen. That's why I think humans might not be the most fit to survive earth.

    ReplyDelete
  11. Kimberly Flores per;3 I think that humans are the most fit right now. But I think that later on humans will not be the most fit because evolution keeps on going. Also because humans are destroying some of the things we need to survive like trees. Humans are cutting down trees and we need trees for oxygen. A new organism could be made in 5 million years that has better characteristics than humans. That's why I think that humans won't be the most fit in the future to survive Earth.

  12. I think that humans are " more fit" because if we have everything we need ( food , water, shelter) than we will live. We have a better chance of living until reproductive age. A better chance because everyone doesn't usually die at age 22-35 ( reproductive age). If something went wrong like there was no more water or food, then we would be " less fit" because we wouldn't live till reproduction age. If that happened then humans would be extinct. I think humans are "more fit" to survive on earth. Jaclynn V

  13. I do not think that humans are most fit to survive in this planet. If we were would we be melting it with our cars and global warming in general. With the dinosaurs they didn’t have the knowledge to even create technology they were just unlucky that a meteor had to come and take them out. In my opinion if that meteor didn’t come the dinosaurs would still be here today. But maybe not. They aswell may not have been the most fit creature to rule this earth. But, who knows what will happen no one can product the feature or see the past. Maybe some other meteor or animal will take over this worlds. All I know is that I probably will not be around to find out.

  14. Dear Mr. Andrews,

Humans are the "most fit" to survive on planet Earth. Why because we have intelligence. Having intelligence allowed us to adapt quickly, such as putting a coat on, when it is cold outside. If a tropical dinosaur went to a cold climate, it wouldn't survive because it cannot adapt quickly enough and die. Without taking few hundred generations, people can just skip the evolution process and get the end result. Dinosaurs are considered the dominant life form 150-250 million years ago because of our fossil study, the large bones, sharp teeth, etc.. We quickly assumed that dinosaurs are the dominant life form a couple hundred millions back because the teeth is most likely to evolve to that if they are predators. As we know that a few hundred million years ago the Earth's Antarctica was a tropical climate, so thinking off of this, dinosaurs might of died of the climate change of being hot to cold killing them off, while the mammals jump out the preys and went up to the predator. By miracle chance or the right conditions, the early humans developed intelligence, making them the dominant species.

  15. I think that the humans are the most fit because, if the dinosaurs were, they would still be around. The dinosaurs eventually evolved and made new life forms, which then in turn had the dinosaurs numbers decrease and eventually get to 0. The parrots were made and then the caiman and eventually hair came in creating the hare and of course, us. When the dinosaurs roamed they were more fit and in turn had offspring or produced other organisms that were even more fit. This all led up to us today and because of that I think we, humans, are the most fit. We are mostly in charge of this world today, maybe not in the ocean but on land, we over power all! Are population is still increasing and I don't think that will change. For those reasons I think that the humans are the most fit.

  16. Yes I do think that humans are the "most fit". Although humans get sick or are born with diseases and other things like that, every species has that. One reason I think that humans are "most fit" because we have the tools to survive many things. Also many human bodies are made to survive all bad emergencies. Another reason we are "most fit" is that humans easily adapt to environments which other species can't do. Thats why I think that humans are "most fit".

  17. I think that humans our the most fit, for myriad of reasons. To begin, most of the time we can survive sickness. Even through it might take a while to get better our body does a wonderful job of getting rid the the virus. Second, is that we can last a little bit in the freezing cold weather. This is because our body has found ways to keep us warm. Third, is that we can live about 46 days without food! That's amazing, but only about 5 days without water. Than again we our about 75% made of water. Lastly, is that we have found ways to make things such as cars, t.v., computers, and other helpful tools to help us become more "fit" in the environment we live in. This is why I think we our the fittest.- Ellie D.

  18. I think that humans have some of “the most fit qualities” of any animal on earth but are not quite there to being the BEST we could be. The way that I look at it, everything has room to improve. It may take a long time to change in a positive way because we are very close to being “perfectly” fit. A lot of different mutations would have to be created to find a better one but there are a few ways that we could improve. One example of how we could be even more fit(that we know is possible from animals like vultures) is immunity to most bacteria such as botulism, anthrax, cholera, and salmonella. Most fit we could be would mean we are perfect the way we are, but as the saying goes “no one is perfect”. We are more dominant than any other species but all that means is that we are the most fit out of the animals. We are not completely at our best. Yes, we are the most fit of all animals on the planet but sometime we could improve to be more fit.

  19. I believe that humans are the fittest to survive on earth. The Dinosaurs roamed the Earth for over 100 times humans have so far, dinosaurs did not have the brains and structure we have to survive. We also have mutations which are usually positive, and are known to be very fit. We have the skills to get things done easily and quickly. This is possible because of the structure we have. Opposable thumbs, movable wrist, and elbows, ears, nose, mouth, eye sockets, toes, muscles, veins, fingers, all contribute to the our form. With the help of our brains, we are able to know what to do in every situation. We are the dominant life form today and for the past 1.5 million years on Earth. This means a mutation occurred, and has worked well for the past 1.5 million years, giving proof that humans have are the most fit on earth.

  20. We are the most dominant life form because throughout life we have gotten food for ourselves and planted it. Which dinosaurs could not plant their own food. Also dinosaurs could find shelter under a rock or tree, but humans have built homes. Homes provide us from the elements and things that are dangerous. We are more intelligent than dinosaurs, people have done/made extraordinary things. With physical features we are different because we can swim, climb, Crawl, hide you name it, and dinosaurs they usually had one of those features.

  21. I think that humans are the "most fit" to survive on planet Earth because if we were to stay on the Earth for 1.5 million years to 250 million years (or maybe more???) would could possibly run out of some recourses but even if we lost all of out recourses then we would be able to survive. We have been able to survive just fine. Yes there are some "less fit" humans but most humans are "most fit" because of their parents genes. The "fit" humans are the ones who can survive perfectly fine and grow up normally.

  22. In my opinion I think that humans are the most fit for earth, not only physically but mentally too. The way humans have adapted to Earth is unique, the way we walk up straight to over come the gravity, or the way we have our thumbs to grab things. And mentally too, the way we think is different from other animals on Earth. We will most likely predict when a meteor might hit earth, there for we have time to blow up the meteor or hide away in bunkers. But because god doesn't give with both hands we still only have our skin no shell or shield like insects do. And maybe in 3,000 years me might have spread the human race all across the galaxy, making us almost immune to being wiped out.

  23. I think the humans are not the most fit to survive Earth. I think that because before us there were many animals that lived before us. The animals that make us who we are today. Those animals lived until they evolved into smarter creatures. I think that as time goes on humans will evolve into smarter creatures than we are today. So we are not the "most fit" on Earth

  24. I agree and disagree that humans are the “most fit”. I agree because we have pretty much taken over the planet. Plus we have no predators. This means we can’t really in the big picture go extinct. But I disagree also. This is because I think that we as humans have changed the planet to what we want. Such as taking down forest for houses and other things. So if we hadn't done that maybe we wouldn't be the “most fit”. For an overall I neither disagree nor agree.

  25. I think that humans are the "most fit" to survive on planet Earth for many reasons. First, the "most fit" has a better chance of livin until reproductive age. Most humans live way longer than that. Also, they may not have lived on Earth as long as dinosaurs had but, we have lived for a long time. Along with that, there is still a lot of time left, so humans may even end up living on Earth longer than the dinosaurs did. In all, I think that humans are the "most fit" to survive on Earth for many reasons and these are just a few.

  26. I think we are the "most fit" to live on Earth because we've evolved to be more fit to live in this environment. Also people are changing things on this planet to make things easier for us. It seems like we've done just fine for the whole time we've been on this planet and I think we'll be just fine for much longer to come. Nowadays we have such better technology do things for us so I feel like we are okay to live here. I don't know what the future will look like for us but for right now we are "most fit" to live here. That is why I think we are "most fit" to live on planet Earth.

  27. I think that humans are the most fit to survive we are more smarter than dinosaurs.Humans are smarter than dinosaurs because we are highly developed in the brain and that allows us to think and to have a language. Also because we are able to stand on our two legs and use our arms to do like projects and humans learn something new everyday. I know that the dinosaurs roamed the earth millions of years ago and they were the dominant species but now since humans were created humans are now the dominant species.

  28. I think we are one of the most fit animals there is. We can build walls for protection and eat other things. Are intelligence level is also higher than other creatures. There is also some qualities we don’t have that other animals have. One for example is the cockroaches. In one experiment done by the Mythbusters, they saw if the cockroaches could live after a certain amount of radiation. They withstood it better than any human could because of the simplicity of its body. Over all I think some of the qualities we have would make us most fit.

  29. No, I don't think that humans are the most fit to survive on Earth because we depend more on our machines more survival instead of our natural adaptations. If we keep on depending on our inventions to survive, then our natural survival adaptations will disappear over time. Sometimes, inventions fail, and when they do, we won't have our natural adaptations that would help us survive, and we would die out. We need to stop depending on our inventions and rely more on our natural instincts and adaptations. But, even with those, we wouldn't be the most fit because we can't survive very long in cold weather without heaters, and so we would die very quickly if we relied on our natural instincts. We also can't run fast enough to avoid predators, so we would be more likely to die out. We don't quite have all of the adaptations to be considered to be the most fit to survive on plant Earth. Although we are close to having all the necessary things to survive, we need to stop depending on our inventions for survival.

  30. Yes, I do think that humans are most fit to survive on planet earth for a few reasons. First, they are most fit to survive on planet earth because there is a range of biodiversity so some of us are better at something's than other people are. This trait is good for because if we were all good at the same thing we would never be able to get anything done because we would all think the same way as each other. Second, I think that we are most fit because we have adapted to the surroundings around us. For example we have evolved from great apes and are more fit and have figured out how to create things that the great apes weren’t able to create as apes. Lastly, I think that we are most fit because we are able to more things than dinosaurs were capable to do when they were alive. We have evolved so that we could walk on two feet and use thumbs to grab things. These types of things dinosaurs didn’t have because they didn’t have a use for them back then but now we do. This is why I thin we are the most fit life form on earth.

  31. Humans are the “most fit” to survive on planet earth because we could do much more than dinosaurs could. I think this because we have more advantage in many things for example food, shelter, and resourceful objects. Dinosaurs had an advantage in food also, but a bigger advantage in hunting. Its kind of obvious that dinosaurs had more freedom and they could do whatever. Mostly we have more possible inventions or things that help us live. For example all the technology and all the crazy inventions we have today. None of the things we have today dinosaurs had before. They had to find a way to survive. We fit more because as I said humans have more possible ways to live and dinosaurs didn’t as much.

  32. After dinosaurs went extinct, and humans come on earth I thing that we are the most "fit" on the planet. I think that because some animals don't have the correct way of thinking, or doing the best war to survive where they live. Such as, some animals don't have the best legs for running away, or usable hands to get food. We are the most "fit" because, through out the time that humans were on the planet we have made many discoveries that help us live. One example is technology, and growing crops. Humans are the most "fit" for living after dinosaur went extinct.

  33. Yes, humans are the most fit to survive on Earth. I think that because of the technology we have created. We have created medicine to help people live longer and strive. I don't think dinosaurs had anything but a few leaves. I also think we are more fit because of our opposable thumbs, We can build up things and have an amazing amount of mobility through it. We have built homes for shelter and found the amazing use of fire and cooked food. Dinosaurs had to run away from predators, we can just use our very intelligent minds to think the best way out. One last thing I don't think dinosaurs had the technology to do what I am doing right now, type on an electronic devise while righting it in a sophisticated language.

  34. Even though dinosaurs did roam the Earth for a longer time period I think that humans are more fit to survive on Earth. This is because we have evolved and adapted to everything on this planet, we also have more time to survive. Humans have learned to breathe this air, eat the food, make objects etc...,preventing us from also becoming extinct. We have everything that we need. Unlike the dinosaurs humans have created everything that helps you survive. Dinosaurs 250 million years ago only knew what to eat. Thats why dinosaurs became extinct, they didn't logically know have to survive. We have done many experiments and tests about animals and the research shows us that we are more fit today to live on Earth then dinosaurs ever were.

  35. I believe that human beings are the most fit to survive on planet Earth because, we have been so successful with all of our technology, that we would be most likely to live almost anywhere! We have actually been overpopulating so much, that we have been pushing other animals to extinction because of how many humans live on Earth! I think our brains are big enough to be able to survive on planet Earth the way we do. Other animals would not know what to do, or wouldn't have the correct equipment to stay alive the way we do, in any cases of emergency or just in a normal everyday life! Humans after all are the ones who go to school to learn about technology, and survival facts. We can become scientists, or work with robots, we can become Police Officers, or Fire Fighters! And that is why I think that humans would have the most chance of survival on planet Earth!

  36. I think humans are most fit to live on earth because we have lived so long on earth. We are most fit to live on planet earth because we can find food build shelter make things that help us in our daily lives, were smart we can figure out how to live on planet earth by the things around us which helps us survive on earth we can build weapons and tools and machines for our problems so we can survive. Earths humans are creators which help all of us find easier ways to live on earth by the things we make. We have all of these creative people on earth to build us things we need anyone can make something new to help humans find new ways to live. Thats why I think humans are fit to live on earth and much more reasons why humans are fit to live on earth.

  37. I think humans are “most fit” to survive on planet Earth. My reason is that we can adapt to our surroundings. I say that because we have invented many things to help us survive where ever we are. For example, we made warm jackets for cold places, and we made shoes to protect our feet from rough terrain. Plus, we change our behavior in order to stay safe where we are. An example is people in Alaska don’t jump in lakes during winter, but people in Florida might jump in lake during winter (depending on the weather). In conclusion, I think that the “most fit” species to survive on planet Earth are humans.

  38. I think that humans are “most fit” to live on Earth because of many things. First of all, we know a lot about the Earth and natural disasters and knowing about these things could help us prepare if there was an asteroid coming to kill us. Secondly, with all of the technology to our disposal we can have the human race move to another planet if there is something that could make us all die. We also have great minds that can help us solve many problems to illnesses or to how it is possible to live on another planet. With a society like that we can make sure we can live for another few billion years. Although humans could do many other things to be better, we are still “most fit” to live on Earth.

  39. I don't completely think dinosaurs were unfit because it wasn't because they were unfit but because of a giant asteroid wiping them out. I think that we as humans are almost fit enough to not have to evolve anymore. The only thing I think we need to evolve from is to get an immunity to diseases and cancers. I think we were unfit during the black pelage because so many people died but we have grown a knowledge of medicine to cure some sicknesses. there isn't much more we could do to be more fit. I think after growing an immunity to sickness we will be fit.

  40. I think humans are the "most fit" to roam the earth because we are small, and we have the smarts to create a lot of unique, high tech projects. take the iPad for example, do you think that a DINOSOAUR could have created an iPad, or even a FIRE??!!??!! yea, me either. I think that science has opened us up to o whole bunch of new stuff that we can learn about! science also gave us the capacity.

  42. I think that humans are the most fit to live on Earth because we are highest on the cladogram, or family tree, besides the Ape family. Humans can live anywhere they want on earth, where animals cant. We dont need to evolve to live wherever. We have evolved over millions of years, from bacteria, to animals, to humans. We can fend off predators, and can feed ourselves, which organisms need to do to survive. There has been no other found species thats beyond our intellegence, and can do what we do. People beleive that aliens are out there, but there is no physical evidence, and they dont live on Earth. Those are the main reasons why I think Humans are the most fit to live on Earth.

  43. I don't think humans are the "most fit" for planet Earth. We still have things to evolve to make us stronger. Some of us still haven't adapted to our surroundings. For example, our feet are pretty fragile. There are a lot of nerve endings there, so they can hurt easily. Since we live in the mountains, after a few million years we would probably grow bigger and less sensitive feet. Since we've got new feet, it might lead to a new species of homo sapiens. Jonah K.

  44. I think that Human beings are not the most fit on planet earth. I think this because humans are not the strongest creature on earth. We can die not just from age, we can also die from whatever earth throws our direction. For example there are deadly poisonous plants growing all over earth that can kill us instantly. Our bodies are not strong enough to handle that kind of deadly things. Humans are not the only creature on earth, there are other creatures that share oxygen with us, and those creatures can be a lot stronger than us humans. Other creatures may be able to handle deadly poisonous plants and other things that can kill humans. This means that they are more fit than humans to live on earth.

  45. I personally think that humans would be most "fit" to survive on the planet Earth. This is since we have developed many ways to help our society to form and benefit with modern technology, inventions, and many other helpful creations. The recent modern technology made, has really increased how we have been able to survive for so long. For example, with new MRI scanners, this helps researchers figure out how to get rid of diseases, or how to find new diseases that have formed. On the other hand, we have also created a large amount of pollution, which slowly risks our environment for humans to be "fit" in, thus making us not survive on Earth for long if we continue to do so. To add, our new inventions would help with this situation to create more eco-friendly areas by recycling. By doing this, this would help on having humans survive for many more generations. To sum up, I think humans will survive on the planet Earth for possibly millions of years more for these exact reasons.

  46. I think that humans are the most fit on Earth. I believe this because humans are the most technologically advanced. Animals have a good chance of survival without sicknesses. As humans we can go to the doctor and get cured. Also humans have a steady food supply. Animals and other spices have to search for there food, and if the don't find it they starve to death. We wont be on this earth for ever but I think for a long time.

If you set our species up against any other species were going to win because of our intelligence. We have been, are, and will be the smartest animal on this planet.

  48. I don’t think humans are fit for Earth because in the movie Earth the humans don’t live on earth and when they're on a mission and get down there they don’t know what to do. Any way the couldn’t battle life at Earth. In the future temperature is going to drop or go up therefore humans can’t take the heat or the cold. In the future we will have more technology to take our race to safety. But not Earth because humans will not survive at Earth well thats what I think. 49. I think humans are the most fit beings to live on this world because of many reasons. One, we have highly advanced brains that enable us to do things other species cannot. This is a potent ability that controls our effectiveness on earth. Two, we have bodies that are uniquely evolved to help us fend for ourselves and protect ourselves. Our bodies are the temple for the mind (mind being god in this metaphor) our mind controls our bodies permitting us to accomplish magnificent feats. As humans we have the capability to artificially select other animals breeding partners and thus giving ourselves more protection. For example, Dogs have been bred into specific types to hunt or to attack, the Fila brasileiro is a fierce guard dog that has been bred to protect humans. This being said we can overcome our disadvantages by domesticating other animals that do not have that problem. For these reasons, this is why I believe that humans are the fittest species to survive the harsh climates and inhabitants of earth. William A

  50. Humans are at the top of the food chain. We are capable of getting any food we want, wherever we want (as long as we have the tools). My opinion is yes, humans are the most fit to survive. We are able to use things we made to make even more things to help us survive. For example, we use cranes and trucks to create buildings in which we live and work in. We farm (grow crops and raise livestock) our own food to keep us going. We even have time for leisurely activities! So basically, I believe that humans are indeed the most fit thing in the world.

  51. I think humans are the most dominate life forms on the planet. I think that from the fossil evidence we have, we accomplished a lot more than the dinosaurs. For example, we have made inventions, made a steady food supply, domesticated organisms, created medicines, and etc. From what I know, dinosaurs had to hunt and did not make inventions. We can make things using our hands, feet, fingers, and thumbs. This has allowed us to become the most dominant life form the earth has ever had.

  52. I think humans are most fit because we build buildings. We make and plan things so we could survive. We can kill animals and eat them . We can tame animals. So we can use them to do stuff. We have our own animals so they can trust us.These reasons make my claim that we are the most fit.

  53. I think that humans are the “most fit” because for one thing now we eat more of the animals than they eat us. Also more of animals are becoming distinct than humans. Humans have more knowledge of what is dangerous or not. We also have different things to protect us from whether, other animals. One thing that helps us survive is our opposable thumbs to help us make what we need. Finally we also have animals as pets and not the other way.

  54. Dinosaurs had an immense power on this planet for about 150 to 250 million years. This (as humans), is very hard to overcome, as far as dominating goes, but somehow, I think we will achieve this goal. First of all, the dinosaurs didn’t have nearly as much control over their land or environment as we do. Judging by the fact that we have only been around for about a one hundredth of the time they have, and we already have technology, cars, and safe shelters, means we could gain some serious power over the dinosaurs. The dinosaurs could be killed by each other, or even other animals. This still happens often in our world, but we have gained an incredible population of 6 billion organisms, and will continue to grow. Also, we have very safe shelters, and places to sleep, instead of risking our lives every night in the wilderness. Overall, I think that the humans have much more control over their society, and has a population that is not going to stop growing, whether it’s the populations ideas or organisms.

  55. I think that humans are definitely the most fit to survive on planet earth. We are extremely smart, and we all have communicated well to create a society that we can all live comfortably in. Even though other animals, like the great apes, are smart as well, humans are great collaborators. By collaborating, we can accomplish many great things like we have in the past. An example of this is the United Nations. This is an example of nations coming together to help one another make important decisions. Humans are without a doubt the most fit organisms to survive on earth.

  56. Humans re created in all different shapes and sizes, but we're determined to be the "most fit" to survive on Planet Earth. There are many reasons for this. One is the way we are built. We walk on two legs for running, and two arms that we do not walk on for defending ourselves while running. Another reason is how we use communication. Without that, we would be confused of what to do if something happened because we would not be able to ask for help. Another reason just how darn smart we are. We created languages, material for houses, clothing and much more. We even created the ability to save wild animals. Last reason is how our fingers are used. They're used for grabbing things so we can throw them at the predators. And if you grow out your nails, then that is a good weapon. Overall, humans are most fit to survive because of all the features that we have along with us.

  57. Between dinosaurs and humans, humans are definitely more fit to survive on Planet Earth. Even though dinosaurs roamed Earth a lot longer than humans, humans have developed many new foods, plants, and even technology. Dinosaurs had nothing back then compared to what humans have now. Humans have more brains to create things to survive such as weapons and homes. We have more food and water then dinosaurs ever had. Humans have each other, who knows if dinosaurs could rely on one another. With all of the technology and special needs, humans are way more fit than dinosaurs to survive on Planet Earth.

  58. I that that humans are the most fit to survive in the world. I know that the dinosaurs ruled the earth from 150 to 250 million years. That's because they had really no predators or anything and humans are really smart and make new things everyday to help our world today. Humans can think of or have the technology to solve the problems that come up because they are really smart not like dinosaurs. We are most fit to survive on earth until the world ends some day.

  59. Although, humans have been on earth for 1.5 million years and dinosaurs have been on earth for 250 million years ago, I don't believe humans are most fit to live. Us humans have faced problems throughout the years, but dinosaurs have faced bigger problems. For example: humans had to face places to put there houses, but dinosaurs had to face where do find where there food is. Also us humans know you is an enemy, but dinosaurs don't know whether or not the dinosaur that is in the herd in is a predator or a prey just like themselves. Although, humans have inherited characteristics from their ancestors (not including apes), dinosaurs still have species that are alive today or at least animals have more evolved from. For example: small rodents that survived the comet explosion. Since dinosaurs have lived longer on earth, and have faced more challenges than us, humans, then I believe that humans are not the most fit. Emma K.

  60. I do NOT think humans are the most fittest to survive on planet earth. Although we are predators (prey in the rarest of occasions), we have only been living for a few thousand years. That is nothing compared to dinosaurs! When the human body goes up against a dangerous virus, we can easily die. While other organisms can be attacked and barely affected. Humans can adapt (somewhat easily), but we lack a good sense from right to wrong. Our conscious directs us to what we think we should do, rather than what we know and implying it to the situation. As our race branches out and populates even more, I hope we live for multiple amount of centuries, as well as living to see some form of evolution.

  61. Today man is fit for survival, but someday, we won't be. Over time, the earth evolves into something else. The life on this planet needs to survive by getting fit to the environment. The dinosaurs were believed to be extinct via meteor. Someday we might go out the same way, unless we evolve to where we are stronger and have a better chance of survival in a fatal situation like that. Earth has a lot of territory that has not been discovered yet. Maybe someday that territory might take over Earth and we won't be ready for it. Someday humans will evolve into something else. But, we shouldn't worry about that, it won't happen in our lifetime!

  62. I think humans are the most fit species to dominate Earth for many reasons. Part of this is how we have perfected surviving, and have started living by using our minds to make life more enjoyable and interesting. We also can communicate in a more intricate way than noises. In addition, humans are very inventive and innovative; we have an acute sense of curiosity. The way our bodies are constructed also makes us ideal to dominate Earth. 63. I think that humans are the most fit to survive on the planet because we have adapted to the world very well. First of all, humans have adapted so well to the world that sometimes we even know what is coming up next. For example, like we can predict the weather and stuff like that. Knowing that and other stuff about the world helps us prepare and be safe. Other living things on the Earth don't have that ability. Humans have so many more advantages than other living things and the advantages grow every day. I think that humans were born to survive the most in the Earth because we can do so many things. That's why I think that humans are the "most fit" to survive on planet Earth.

Humans are a very delicate species. That being said I think humans are not most fit to live on the earth, but I still think we have a chance. We may be able to build technology, but when we live off the land we are hopeless. The human race is very dependable on technology, but what happens when something takes this away. We will adapt, but we will not be the most fit. On the other hand we can feel and communicate with others. In addition we can be there for others and help them. This allows us for a major advantage in the animal world. In conclusion, humans may not be the most fit right now but surely have a chance to be at the top.

  65. I do think that humans are the "most fit" to live on Earth for many reasons. To begin with humans are still alive today. Yes, the dinosaurs were alive for longer than humans have been on Earth but humans are alive in the new changing Earth. Next, if dinosaurs were the "most fit" to live on Earth they would most likely be here today. Finally, humans have evolved and we are being made better and better possibly by the generation and if this continues we will just continue to becoming more and more fit for living on the planet Earth. This is why I thin humans are the most fit for living on the Planet Earth.

  66. I do believe that humans are more fit to survive on planet Earth because of our superior knowledge and technology that we have today. As far as I'm concerned the human race is not about to die out. Modern day scientists are searching for ways to prevent extinction of humans. Even if dinosaurs were dominant we would still find ways to adapt to our environment. I am almost certain that the human race will continue to dominate the Earth for many years to come. This evidence has led me to point no other way than at humans to dominate the Earth.

  67. I believe that humans are the most fit to survive on planet Earth. When you take dinosaurs, for example, they may have had a long period of dominance, but they are no longer in existence. Humans, however, are very real and happen to be the dominant species, deeming us the “most fit” life form for the current conditions of the Earth, sun, etc.

Also, the longevity of a species’ dominance can only determine the value of its rule to a certain point; I cannot say, “I should be the man of the house because it’s been that way for years on end,” because it only takes into consideration length. Obviously, the “man of the house” changed because that person was more suitable to protect and care for the home.

Clearly, humans are the most fit to survive on planet Earth due to their current dominance and the unwavering status that they have held since it was first established.

  68. I do not believe that humans are the “most fit” to survive on planet Earth. First of all, humans depend on other life forms to survive. For example, humans need plants and animals for food. But plants and animals don’t need to depend on humans to survive. Animals can catch their own food and plants can make their own. Second, the dinosaurs have roamed the Earth longer than the humans. Back then, there were more dinosaurs than other life forms on the planet so they were the dominant species. Today, there are more humans than other species on Earth thats why humans are the dominant species. In the future we won’t know what species will be the most dominant. Maybe the humans will continue to be most dominant or maybe an accident will eliminate all humans just as how the dinosaurs had been and a new species will be the most dominant species on planet Earth.

  69. I do not think that humans are the most fit to live on earth. I think this for many reasons. One of these is that we use up our resources way too fast. For example we are using coal to power electric generators that run our useless devices. I think that humans will exhaust our resources before we make any major breakthroughs in the way we live. If we were the most fit to live on planet earth, we would be much more efficient with our resources.

  70. Humans are considered most fit on Earth, and I think that is true because we have all the right body parts to survive. Height doesn’t really matter with homosapiens, but will matter in the animal kingdom. It will never really affect your chances of surviving if you were extremely tall, or extremely short. We have two arms and two legs, equipped for running, and grabbing things. There is already supermarkets, so the human race wouldn’t have to go find food. Also, there is no animal or thing in particular that we would need to fend off as humans because we are the top of the food chain in this example. But sometime in the future, the things that we have that is not needed will be gone; such as, the liver, and the pinky toe. As homosapiens, we are the most equipped to be on Earth, and will last billions of years because we have everything we need to survive for a very long time.

  71. I think humans are "most fit" to survive on planet Earth. I think this because of our brains and our adaptations. Our brains help us because our brains are more developed than other animals. This helps us to get food and to protect ourselves. Our adaptations helps us survive also. One adaptation is skin color. Africans have dark skin to protect their bodies from getting sunburned. Both our brains and our adaptations help us be the "most fit" on planet Earth.

  72. I personally believe that us humans will be around and thriving for a very long time, until something catastrophic happens to the Earth. The hominadae family first originated around 200,000 years ago.Compared to many ocean creatures, bacterium and the long gone dinosaurs, that time period is like a blink of an eye.But primarily because of our large brains, I think we will be around forever. We might develop mutations and new features to help us survive our changing world.Because we are the dominant species, we have to make sure other species do not die out.

  73. I believe that Humans are not the most fit animals on the planet. I believe this because if humans lost electricity and other stuff we have built, then the human race would suffer massively. The other species that have tough hides and are good hunters would outrank humans greatly. Humans have lost most of the stuff that helped us live in the wild a long time ago. We lost this because we didn't need it, so if we end up needing it again, it will be a bad situation. This is why I thought humans are not the prominent species.

  74. I think that Dinosaurs are more fit to live on earth. I think this because of medicine. Medicine is here to help us not get sick and stuff. Dinosaurs don't know about this although we give it to animals and stuff. But If you eat healthy Then there is no point of medicine. Dinosaurs eat healthy like leaves, fruit, grass and other stuff like that. We eat food with chemicals in it and other people eat healthy too like stuff that doesn't have GMO(Genetically Modified Organism) which makes our food supply larger and grow more. It also Poisons our food and there are companies that don't use GMO in there food. But most of them do. I do in fact think that Humans are “most fit” to survive on Earth. I believe this because we do not have many natural predators and we have thousands of different defenses. Though we are susceptible to disease, we have many forms of treatment unlike some other organisms on the earth. We also have a larger life expectancy than many other animals. Therefore, this means that we easily can live to the age of reproduction and pass on our genes. Also, because of our advance cognitivity, we can develop and adapt to our environments before our bodies even have the chance to process the change. For the reasons displayed above, I believe that Humans are the most fit to survive on Earth.

We have weather people to tell us to prepare for a big storm that is coming and we have astronomers that study space and make sure that astroids aren't hurtling at our planet. Dinosaurs and other species didn't have this and I think that we will be better off in the long run. We also have businesses and are dominant around the world. We have developed many things to help our environment, but we are also destroying it. If the dinosaurs were to attack us we would have the weapons to probably kill it or badly wound it. I also think that Dinosaurs could be the best fit because they did not have factories and cars to harm the environment. The reason i think this is because we don’t have to kill each other for food and we don’t have to worry about toxic gases filling the earth and suffocating us. Humans are best fit for earth now than before we have common sense and we know what to do and what not to do. We have everyday needs like a warm house food to get us through a snowstorm and we can defend ourselves against a war or mother nature. I think that the human population will carry on for at least another million years because we can reproduce and not die the next day. The first human’s were the start of new life and we evolve and get different genetics that helped us survive on earth.

  90. I think that people are not as fit to live here as the dinosaurs, but I think we are pretty good now. The dinosaurs could adapt to any kind of environment fast, and people can too but not as fast and not as good as them. We would have to be taught how to find food to be able to eat, or learn how to make a home in the environment or materials needed. The dinosaur could also have camouflage to the way they lived, but we need to make or buy it, which is not as handy as having it just on you. Some dinosaurs had special advantages like claws to climb trees or dig holes. Dinosaurs just have a better way of finding things they needed to survive and it would take a lot for them to be destroyed, like a volcano or a comet.

According to the scientists, we will all have to get used to a drier environment in the future. The animals will have to adapt to a more desert like environment if they want to live. The adaptations they will have to go through can vary from the ability to keep enough water inside them, to the ability to camouflage. The plant I chose is the venus fly trap that now, is fit to the environment of a more tropical environment. The venus fly trap will have to develop a way of keeping more water in it like a cactus, and a way of protecting the place where the water is kept, so it may protect itself from enemies. Also, it might help to spread to a place where the environment is more full of what it can eat.

Humans are also the most fit right now because we are the smartest even though there are some people who aren't so bright out there we have the smartest people on the earth right now that have come up with countless inventions and ideas.
